BATTLE OF THE BANDS WEEK!: This is the 15th one that we've done since we opened business in 2002! There are some great bands on the lineup this fall that we are really excited about (Be sure to look them up on myspace or facebook to hear some of their music). The way it works is 4 bands play each night. The audience votes to determine who wins each night. The winner from each night goes on to play in the finals on Saturday. The winners on Saturday are determined by a panel of judges based on the bands performence, originality, stage presence, crowd response, and overall appeal. First place is $150 cash and 10 hours of studio time in the Muse Recording Studio (A total value of $500). 2nd and 3rd place also received cash and studio time prizes. Be sure to come support and sample many of the great talented bands in the area! The lineup is listed below.
CAFE NEWS: After much anticipation, we are ready to unveil TWO NEW SANDWICHES!!! The first is called "THE VELVET ELVIS", a yummy sandwich featuring peanut butter, bananas, marshmallows, and chocolate chips on french bread and grilled to perfection. This is our version of the sandwich the King himself used to enjoy, but with one bite, he certainly would approve! The second sandwich is the "PB & J." Sometimes you're just in the mood for something plain and simple. This sandwich is peanut butter and jelly (choice of strawberry or blackberry) on french bread which you can have either plain or grilled. Also very good! For this week, if you print out this email and bring it in, you get $1 OFF ANY SANDWICH!!! The Cafe is open Noon to Midnight.

ONE-MAN BAND
By Riley M. Lorimer (’08)
As owner, manager, sound technician, ticket-taker, marketing director, favorite performer, and janitor, Jake Haws runs the show at Muse Music.
Muse Music exudes rock-and-roll chic. The concert area of the all-ages music venue on Provo’s University Avenue is dimly lit, with exposed brick, mismatched furniture, and a stage just waiting for a guitar solo. The outer room features hundreds of translucent guitar picks hanging from the ceiling in pseudo-c ... Click for more |
